Steve Bell, the founder of DBSA Colorado and BrainStorm Career Services first sought medical help for his mood disorder after visiting the national organization's website, www.DBSAlliance.org. At that site he learned about bipolar disorder, the devastating effects it can have on both patients and their families. He also learned that recovery from this disorder is possible with proper medical care, peer support, counseling, and self-education...80 percent of people with bipolar or depression and go on to live productive and fulfilling lives. To continue the tradition of online excellence in support and education, we need a creative person who has the technical skills to help DBSA Colorado develop and maintain a first-class website that people can use as a portal to the resources we have and the services we offer. Candidates for this volunteer opportunity should have experience in web design and development and be trained in using a variety of software applications. They should also be skilled in installing and trouble-shooting hardware and software problems as needed. A working knowledge of the new social media such as Facebook and Twitter is a plus. The best volunteer for this position would be someone who has life experience with depression or bipolar disorder as either a consumer or family member. This opportunity is sponsored by: DBSA Colorado Inc. aka BrainStorm Career Services
