Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Court Care, the drop-in child care facility near the El Paso County Courthouse, provides a safe, warm and fun environment for children while their parents attend to business at the Courthouse. The volunteer reception assistant facilitates registration of children into Court Care in an efficient and expeditious manner. Responsibilities include greeting parents and children, assisting parents with completing the paperwork to register their children, answering the telephone, and presenting a calm, reassuring manner to parents and children.

Volunteers need to have good attention to detail - paperwork must be filled out completely and accurately; good people skills with adults and children - adults are likely dealing with stressful situations and need to be reassured that their children will be well cared for in a safe environment and children need to be put at ease about staying in an unfamiliar setting. Training will be provided. Minimum age: 18
