To enhance the value and dignity of human life, the mission of Catholic Charities of Colorado Springs is to provide services to people in need, to advocate for justice in social structures, and to call the entire church and other people of good will to do the same.

Description:
Catholic Charities consists of 4 main programs.

  • Emergency and Transition Services provides for basic emergency needs in the form of material goods, support, information, referrals, case management, transportation, and mobile medical healthcare.
  • The Family Literacy Project offers English as a Second Language classes to adults, informational workshops and childcare for their children.
  • Life Connections is a licensed and accredited child placement agency that offers domestic infant open adoptions, international adoptions, support groups, pre-natal nurturing education, pregnancy counseling, and post abortion support.
  • The Marian House provides a hot, nutritious meal to anyone who needs it. Because of the many volunteer opportunities for the Marian House, this program is listed separately on this website.

  • History:
    Catholic Charities became established in Colorado Springs in 1968. We are part of a national organization, Catholic Charities USA, that has been around for over 125 years and has over 1,600 programs. Over the years, Catholic Charities of Colorado Springs has adapted what we do according to the changing needs of our community.
