The mission of Galileo School of Math and Science is to establish an integrated, creative, technology-enriched, and interdisciplinary learning environment in which students attain their highest academic and character potential.

Description:
Galileo is a public middle school within School District 11. Galileo will start with 6th grades the first year, 7th & 8th grades will follow each year.

History:
Galileo School of Math and Science (formerly East Middle School) was closed for a year due to low enrollment and low test scores. It was reopened in August 16, 2008, with the focus on Math and Science.
