Vision: Fountain will be a fit and healthy community. Mission: The mission of LiveWell Fountain is to improve the health of the community by promoting awareness of the causes and consequences of excess body weight, and developing and enhancing programs and policies designed to prevent obesity and sustain a healthy lifestyle.
Description:
LiveWell Fountain is a grant-funded program that began in February 2007. It is funded by Kaiser Permanente and LiveWell Colorado. Our goals are to: develop a comprehensive, ongoing communication plan that will build and maintain a fit and healthy Fountain; provide the educational tools to assist Fountain residents in living a healthy lifestyle; develop and improve community resources to increase physical activity for all; encourage and assist businesses to provide options to increase healthy lifestyles; advocate for improvements in Fountain's public policy and infrastructure to encourage an increase in physical activity, healthy eating, and use of multiple modes of transportation.
