To help homeless or previously incarcerated women with programs of restoration through the Love of Jesus, Bible truths, and self-discipline.

Description:
We are a Christian, six month residential program that houses up to 17 women. We have classes and Bible studies, community mentoring, and pastoral counseling. We work with probation, parole and human services, do financial management, help with job search, transportation, and saving for and finding apartments.
We have a need for volunteers to supervise the home, mentor, give rides, help in the computer learning center, answer the phone and do administrative work. We use community service volunteers or volunteers from the general population who have a heart to help women in need.

History:
Liza's place has been open since September 2002. We are located at 2934 East Fountain Blvd. C/S, CO 80910 and have helped over 240 unaccompanied women get on their feet. We currently enjoy a 60 % success rate of those who complete the program. We have one full time and two part time employees wearing many hats. Liza's Place was named after a homeless woman named Liza Chavez who was murdered on the streets of Colorado Springs on Sept 10, 2001 with nowhere to go.
